Ready, Set, Grow.........

I am fortunate to get the opportunity to meet many independent remodelers and small business persons ever week.   I am always amazed to find a similar story behind each one.    Most have aspirations of growing their business and providing more services.  Everyone works extremely hard, much more than the 40 hours a week, and are responsible for many tasks.   They meet with customers, work sales leads, manage production, order supplies & materials, process the accounting, and take out the trash at the end of the day.

I have always been told to place good people around me, delegate responsibility,  and concentrate on what I do best.   I believe this is a very important step in the process of growing a business, but it is not one to jump into without having your processes and procedures well defined.   It is impossible for qualified and responsible persons to be empowered to act and make the correct decisions with no defined procedures or processes in place.

Independent and small businesses do not defined their processes, procedures, or standards because they typically are the ones performing the tasks.   The defined items in question may  may include policies, procedures, workflow, forms, checklists and communication standards.   Typically small and independent businesses do not define job descriptions because they typically wear all the hats in the company.

A business management solution such as ELMS Advantage Online helps define many of the processes.  You can quickly standardized on your forms, workflows, and reports.   You will have procedures that are consistent where all tasks are performed in a unified manner.  Your remodeling business can be successful with a solid business management system at it foundation.  It can the difference confusion and control and ultimately profit and loss.

ELMS is unique because it is affordable and designed to support the independent remodeler as well as the larger remodeling company with many employees.  ELMS Advantage will grow with your business.
